We meet every Tuesday during school term time at Hove Methodist Church between 12:30 and 2:30. A three course meal with door to door transport provided by Brighton and Hove Community Transport currently costs £2 thanks to the generosity of our funders and Hove Methodist Church.

We are a ‘not for profit’ community group that is managed by one worker and 18 volunteers and a management committee made up of a mixture of members and volunteers. We fund-raise to keep our costs low to make the club accessible to all. We use surplus food provided by the charity fareShare Brighton and Hove and have an after lunch programme that can be anything from music and singing to gardening to talks on hobbies. Above all we are a friendly and inclusive group.

From September we will be offering a Thursday session between 1pm-3pm for people with learning disabilities and older people. This will also cost £2 and will be a more informal meal like soup and sandwiches or afternoon tea. There are also opportunities to get involved with preparing food, serving and clearing up. Volunteers must arrive by 11:30 am. For more information contact Caroline on 01273 728678.
